Josh Payne


Josh resides in Oakdale, CT with his wife and 2 children, daughter Mackenzie (11) and son Cameron (9). Josh grew up playing youth sports in Montville, Ct and attended St. Bernard High School where he competed in three sports (football, basketball, baseball).  After high school, Josh attend Post University in Waterbury, Ct where he was a 4 year starter on the baseball team.  He was team captain and team MVP in both his junior and senior years and all-conference his senior year.  Josh graduated with career records in HR’s, RBI’s and doubles.


After college, Josh moved onto coaching baseball at both the American Legion and Collegiate level.  He was an assistant coach at United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Ct for 5 years, twice competing for the conference tournament championship.  During this time, Josh was also an assistant coach for Niantic, CT American Legion.


For the past 7 years, Josh has been a member of the Eastern Board of Umpires, working various high school varsity games including CT state championships.  He was named as Umpire of the Year for the 2017 season.


 Josh joined the Breakers staff in the fall of 2018 at U10 level and has brought his knowledge and passion of the game to the field.

Todd Aiken

Todd was born and raised in Clinton, CT and started playing baseball as a lefty at the age of 4. He was a 2-time Little League All-Star, was a starting pitcher in Middle School as well as high-school, where he led his team to two State Tournament wins. He was also part of the 1992 American Legion Post 103 baseball team. Todd graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 1998 where he was an assistant for the college team.
Todd has recently been coaching kids for the past 7 years for Clinton Little League, while also serving as a Divisional Commissioner, Umpire-in-Chief and currently Vice President of Baseball. He is also on his 2nd year coaching for the Breakers 10u team, where they won the 10u Sportsplex Spring Baseball Invitational Tourney.
When Todd is not on the field, he is an avid winter skier, likes running 5k’s and fishing!
